Late in primary education my interests pivoted from development to network security, leading me to pursue networking and security-based degree programs in college. Early internet-culture added EDM to my music-rolodex, but it wasn’t until my first festival that I became engrossed in the dance music subculture. After becoming a club-regular, the thrill of listening to a great mix could no longer be itched by making my own playlists, so DJing for myself became the next rational step. Converting my 2nd bedroom into a studio gave me the place to practice, but DJing open-format basement parties and volunteer events fed my hunger for performance. improv comedy
Purchased for me as a gift, my first improv class cued me into a world of creative expression, stage presence, and friendships that I could not have imagined. Learning the tools of improv comedy has given me a new way to express myself and think on my feet while attempting to entertain the audiences at the Interchange Coop and ComedySportz Milwaukee. My ‘recreational-competitive’ improv team, “The BarCode”, won a 2023 league tournament, and upcoming show dates can be found on the ComedySportz Milwaukee website.
